Updates on JJ Lin's Just JJ World Tour Concert. Finally. Haha..

24/6/06

Hus and i quickly had our dinner at the coffeeshop near his house. Then we hailed a cab and took off for the Singapore Indoors Stadium. We reached pretty early. Juz as we were standing outside the entrance with some of the other concert goers, we heard loud noises coming from afar. Lifting our heads, we saw 3 helicopters flying the Singapore flag! Wat a coincidence, the NDP rehersal was also going on.

NDP rehersal

Our seats were located in the North entrance. So i took a pic outside of it for keepsake. :P

outside our seat entrance

with hubby

I have blue eyeshadows on my eyelids on the abv pic to 'pei he' JJ's concert promotion poster. Hahaha.. Nuts. His FC members painted their faces exactly the same as his concert promotion poster. -_-

Before we went into the concert hall, there was a booth outside selling JJ stuffs. Hus and i bought the set of souvenirs which consisted of a wristband, pen and pencil set, a lanyard, a JJ concert file and bookmark. The whole souvenir set costs us $20 and includes with it a Just JJ World Tour concert. :D I love it to bits. I also pestered hus to buy a light stick as well which costed a freaking $5! Should have brought along the FOC SAF lightsticks. Bah!

After much dili-dali-ying, we finally went in to find our seats. The place was huge and we had to get the usher to help us locate our seats. I was shocked to find out that we were so far away from the stage (read: JJ)! :( But the only advantage was we were facing the stage (and him) directly instead of needing to twist our heads.

in our seats before the concert starts...

After much awaiting, the concert begans at 8 30pm!! Kinda like our Chinese wedding dinner, always start half an hour later. -_- JJ's dance crew taught us a few dance moves to the song Jiu Shi Wo, it was quite fun. Then the concert officially beguns...

his grand entrance!!

JJ came out in a hooded suit and blowing a flute to the tune One Thousand Years Later. All of us screamed and waved our lightsticks. The fan club was especially wild. Then the concert kicked off...

JJ

He sang Chi Pang. You can see the wings projected on the screen.

Chi Pang

JJ incorporated a small action "movie" in his concert. He was "killing" the bad guys. Lol..

action "movie"

After some singing he talked for abit and shared with us many things. He told us his inspirations came from Li Hom and Jay Chou and his biggest idol is Michael Jackson. He sang Wei Yi (Li Hom's song), Hei Se You Mo (Jay's song) and a Michael Jackson song which the title i forgot. He even sang a few songs that he has written for others. I did not even know that Dang Ni sang by Cyndi Wang was written by him! Cool. Woot.

oooh so cute!! my fav pic

talking

Btw, all the pics were taken by hus as i was the one busy waving the light stick and singing. :X One of his G-O-H was Jing Sa, the lady who sang Bei Feng Chui Guo De Xia Tian with him. They sang together again during the concert but JJ did a piano version of it! GRRREAT!

duet with jing sha

The lighting effects was fantastic. I can tell immediately from this pic that it's the robot song Bian Hao 89757. Once i saw the screen at the concert i knew, bcos it was the song's "signature effects". Hahaha..

Bian Hao 89757

Another special guest appearance was Ah Du!!

JJ and Ah Du sang I Do tog

I went to the ladies during Ah Du's solo performance. :X

engrossed in his singing *drools*

JJ sang many songs which includes the above i have mentioned and Yuan Lai, Mei Ren Yu (my fav!), Di Er Tian Tang, Dou Jiang You Tiao, Shu Neng Sheng Qiao, Bo Jian Dai, Jian Jian Dan Dan, Yi Qian Nian Yi Hou, Mu Nai Yi, Jiu Shi Wo etc. However was pretty disappointed he didn't sing Hui You Na Mo Yi Tian and Hui Du Shu. :(

Towards the end of the concert, he gave his thanks to all the sponsors and important ppl in his live. The camera crew shifted the camera to his family and immediately his dad was projected on the screen. His dad looks kinda old.. And i think he's better looking than his bro. :X He also gave thanks to his production crew which... includes Xu Huan Liang (aka Shui Shang Piao)!! Xu Huan Liang is my fav Project Superstar judge and i was so shocked and surprised to see him at the concert. Wat's more amazing is all this while he was juz standing abt a metre away from where i was sitting and i dun even know he was there till the end of the concert! Argh!

Then JJ said goodbye and as usual with every concert, came the encore. He re-appeared again this time wearing a v opera (wayang) kind of costume. The costume was meant for the song Cao Cao. I think the costume sucked. XD After Cao Cao he removed his costume to reveal a nice sueve red outfit. He looked so handsome in that outfit!! Then he sang Sarang Heyo Zhi Dui Ni Shuo. Towards the end of the song, he cried... Hus said it was SOP (Standard Operating Procedure). -_- All of us juz kept silent while some of the fans kept calling out JJ, esp his fan club. He finally got back his bearings several minutes later and finished the song to thurderous applause.

Sarang Heyo

The final encore song was Jiang Nan and after which JJ said his final goodbye to us. He told us to remember the date 24/6/06 cos he will always remember this date too. :DDD

JJ we love u!!

Hus and i took the bus to Orchard and then took a cab from there home. Taking a cab directly outside the Indoors Stadium seemed impossible as 10,000+ fans poured out of the indoors stadium at the same time. :O We reached home closed to 1am.

The concert was great and i will always remember 24/6/06. JJ we will always support you!!! Yay!

The only thing that's holding both of us back is our work and my classes. If i didn't get past the 3 mths' probation (touch wood!) i'll book the tix immediately. :P

Hubby and i caught this midnight show last night:

Cars

A highly entertaining and heartwarming movie. Pixar you did it again! The cars have got mouths to talk and eyelids which open and close. They are totally like human beings with lots of facial expressions. So cute! Best of all about this movie is that there is a moral behind the story. All parents should bring their little ones to watch it. *two thumbs up*

Tonight is JJ Lin Jun Jie's concert. WOOT. Hus and i are both v excited.

Before i begin this entry, i wanna wished all my June babies a v happy (belated) 21st birthday! Congrats on turning 21 Ting, Xun, Xian, Jean and Fel! *muackssssss* May all enjoy ur adulthood (and the tons of freedom tt came along with it!). Muahahaha.. :X

Went to k-lunch with hubby last Sunday. Finally. Yay! The staff at the reception told us that he will give us a big room temporarily as they ran out of small rooms. We juz nodded our heads. When we walked into the room, we were shocked out of our lives bcos when the staff said he will give us a big room, he really meant BIG. Lol..

Behold the sight before you:

hugeeee ktv room (not clear cos i dunno how come the pic turned out so dark)

the ktv screen :O

Hus and I sang lots of JJ Lin's songs. I kept fantasizing that he would invite me on stage and sing together with him. :OOO 3 more days to JJ Lin's concert, i'm so excited.

Some timer ago the centre i work in had this Magnolia show. They brought along a cow as their mascot. The poor cow got it's tail pulled and itself beaten on the tummy. Said cow is shown below.

I'm trying to make a paper cone but i failed (miserably) at it. In the end i have to leave it to May. Argh! I suck at art so much i feel that i am a moron. I am an art idiot with zero artistic elememt in my blood. I feel so freaking useless!

It's a bloody Saturday night but i'm feeling oh-so lonely. My parents are in China and Dear is not with me because he's having duty right now. I am going to fall asleep tonight hugging myself in an empty bedroom. *sobs and cries*

It's the World Cup season but i have absolutely no breathing space nor being able to afford to stay up late. The whole week was such a whirlwind of activities. I handed up 3 bloody assignments in total. Tmr i'm having a project meeting at L.'s house at 10am (which goes my k-lunch session with hubby $%#%&**#). I seriously need to unwind by singing my head off at the ktv lounge and watching The Omen. Coming up with a week's worth of lesson plan, making project deadlines and a 3D ART model is not what i need right now. Shucks.

Sunday, June 04, 2006

Too busy busy busy to update. The stress level is up to my neck. Argh. Things I did for the past 2 weeks:

- Went to the zoo with May for our group project but it was raining dinosaurs on that day. We took pics around the zoo wearing raincoats. Duh! Wat an unlucky day.

- Caught X-Men: The Last Stand. Fantastic movie! Hugh Jackman (Mr Wolverine) is sooo handsome. *drools* Very sure there is a Part 4 and is so looking forward to it. Do mutants revive from the dead after they were torn to pieces? O_o Let's find out in Part 4.

- Proj meeting at Orchard Library. Me and May were assigned to make giraffes, wooden hut and trees. I suck at art. Grrrr!!

- Celebrated Father's Day in advance because parents are leaving for China this week. Mummy, daddy, sis, hubby and i went to this Chinese restaurant along Bugis Village called Gao Ji Jiao Zi La Mian for the celebration. The food was ridiculously salty. We paid $84+ for 5 persons. V broke now. T.T

- Had a fantastic Sat walking around Sim Lim Square and Bugis Junction holding hands with hubby. <3 I love him so much.
